Jon Mottern is a Golden-based real estate broker and one of the founding agents of SERHANT.'s Colorado launch, specializing in northwest Denver and the western suburbs, with particular expertise in Berkeley, West Highlands, Sunnyside, Wheat Ridge, Paramount Heights, Applewood, and Golden.

A significant part of Jon's business comes from helping clients navigate the natural progression from Denver's northwest neighborhoods to communities farther west. Some are looking for more space, larger lots, mountain access, or a quieter setting. Others are moving in the opposite direction or simply buying and selling within the neighborhoods they already love. Because Jon understands both sides of that market, he can help clients compare not only homes and prices, but also architecture, lot characteristics, renovation considerations, neighborhood feel, access, and long-term resale potential.

Jon represents buyers and sellers across a wide range of price points and transaction types, including competitive purchases, strategic listings, coordinated buy-and-sell moves, first-time purchases, relocation, and off-market opportunities. His experience includes sourcing homes that are not publicly listed, preparing properties for market, coordinating trusted contractors and vendors, and developing negotiation strategies tailored to each client's priorities.

Known for his responsiveness, honesty, and calm approach, Jon provides candid advice without pressuring clients or overselling a property. He believes strong representation means making sure clients understand the full picture, the opportunities, the risks, and the likely tradeoffs, so they can make confident decisions. That approach has led many clients to work with Jon through multiple transactions and refer him to friends and family.

Jon's knowledge of the western Denver metro is also personal. He lives in Golden and spends much of his free time mountain biking and exploring the foothills, giving him an authentic understanding of why so many clients are drawn to the connection between northwest Denver, Wheat Ridge, Applewood, and Golden.

Outside of real estate, Jon enjoys spending time with his family, riding trails throughout the Front Range, and supporting community organizations including Lucky Bikes Re-Cyclery, the Colorado Mountain Bike Association, Bridges to Prosperity, and Global Seed Savers to name a few.
