Originally from Myanmar, Nyi Nyi earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the Institute of Economics in Yangon. After graduating, he dedicated several years to humanitarian work as a social worker for Save the Children in rural southern Myanmar, where he later became a political advocate. Due to political unrest, Nyi Nyi was forced to flee to Malaysia in 2005, where he was recognized as a political refugee under the UNHCR.
In 2011, driven by gratitude toward the organization that once supported him, he began working as an interpreter for refugees resettling through the UNHCR. A year later, Nyi Nyi resettled in New York City through the United States Refugee Program—his new home ever since.
Nyi Nyi discovered his passion for connecting people with meaningful experiences and spaces. In 2016, he transitioned into real estate from hospitality scene, combining his interpersonal skills, resilience, and attention to detail to guide clients through one of the most competitive markets in the world.
