Dozens of trendy restaurants, bars, and cafes run along Malcolm X and Frederick Douglass Boulevards, and there is always a hive of activity in and around the shops on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The Apollo Theater is a landmark performance center for African-American artists, and St. Nicholas, Marcus Garvey, Morningside, and Central Parks are all lush greenspaces in which to escape the noise and clamor of the city streets.
