Murray Hill & Kips Bay are quiet residential areas characterized by a mix of townhouses and apartment buildings. With plenty of restaurants and bars as well as easy access to Koreatown and NoMad, both neighborhoods are popular with young professionals and college students. Kips Bay is also home to Curry Hill, a multi-block stretch of Indian restaurants and markets.
The Life
While they aren’t classic destination neighborhoods, Murray Hill & Kips Bay offer locals plenty of food and drink options that cover every cuisine and price point. Bryant and Madison Square Parks sit at either end of the area, and nearby Koreatown is an ideal starting place for a fun night out. And because of the presence of Baruch College and a pair of major hospitals, undergrads and recent med school grads are commonplace.
